Tracie grew up in Edina, Minnesota, and later attended Miami University in Ohio, where she graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After college, she spent time in California working as a children’s ski instructor in Lake Tahoe. She then returned “home” to Minnesota for medical school at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1999.

Although she officially joined Wayzata Children’s Clinic in 2003, she was already familiar to many families, having completed her weekly continuity clinic here during her three years of pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors through 2026.

Dr. Dodig is board-certified in pediatrics, with clinical interests in adolescent medicine and sports medicine. She also volunteers annually as a camp physician at a summer camp in northern Minnesota.

Tracie, her husband Jay, and their sons Jimmy and Matthew live in Minneapolis. In her free time, she enjoys attending her sons’ hockey games and spending time at the rink, as well as downhill and cross-country skiing and exploring the lakes and trails throughout the city.
