Dr. Tanya Liberato is a board-certified pediatrician through the American Academy of Pediatrics, bringing more than 20 years of pediatric experience to Wayzata Children’s Clinic. She provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents and is deeply committed to supporting both children and their families. Her clinical interests include preventive care, child development, and the diagnosis and management of ADD/ADHD, with a strong focus on both physical and mental health.

Originally from New Jersey and upstate New York, Dr. Liberato earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and her medical degree from UMDNJ–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She also completed additional training in public health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at El Paso. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the University of South Florida, training at Tampa General Hospital and All Children’s Hospital (now Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital).

Dr. Liberato is fluent in Spanish and has extensive experience working with Latino families and migrant communities, including six years providing culturally competent care in underserved settings. Her background has allowed her to build strong relationships with diverse patient populations and improve access to high-quality pediatric care.

She has practiced in both federally funded community health centers and private pediatric practices in the Tampa Bay area before relocating to Minnesota in 2024. Dr. Liberato is committed to partnering with families to support healthy growth, development, and long-term wellness for their children.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Liberato is a dedicated advocate for children’s health and well-being. Outside the office, she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes paddleboarding, biking, and outdoor activities, as well as traveling, attending concerts, cheering on the Minnesota Wild, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Liberato primarily sees patients at the Minnetonka office and also provides care in Delano.
